THE present relentless vilification of Jeremy Corbyn brought to mind the book A Very British Coup by Chris Mullin (1982).

I see no evidence of improper behaviour towards anybody and note that historically such prejudice has been much more prevalent in right-wing elements.

Further, the idea that any politician should sign any sort of gagging order is beyond belief, particularly one which has drawn such high-level, adverse legal comment.

If a politician behaves inappropriately then surely it falls to the electorate to put that right in a democracy, or is that notion a bit old-fashioned?

Jeremy Corbyn’s major fault at the moment, as far as I am concerned, is his complete inability or desire to provide any sort of opposition to a government racing us towards a cliff edge.
