THE Health Secretary tried to manoeuvre around a difficult question in the House of Commons today – and it didn't quite work out.
Rachael Maskell, the Labour MP for York, asked Matt Hancock how the budget could safeguard old people in the future when the Conservatives have "cut £7 billion from the social care budget and only replaced it with £240 million".
However, when Hancock went to respond, he seemed to assume that Maskell was an SNP MP and glibly replied that "well, of course, in Scotland social care is devolved".
He was promptly booed into having another think about who he was talking to.
Now that he knows he isn't speaking to an SNP MP, maybe he'll actually answer the question...
