SCOTTISH band Travis have released a new single ahead of the release of their 10th studio album later this year.

The Scottish rockers led by Fran Healy will release L.A. Times on July 12 this year and released their latest single, Gaslight, on Thursday.

The latest album will arrive 25 years after the band released their breakthrough number one album The Man Who.

Travis are set to begin a huge live season this summer, performing with The Killers across their 16-date UK arena tour through June and July.

Speaking about the new single Gaslight, Healy said: “I read a few weeks ago that gaslighting was the most web-searched word in the world.

“We are living in a time where our realities are being warped by bosses, leaders, friends, teachers and politicians.

“It really is everywhere. Gaslighters want to control you.

"They tell you things which undermine your confidence in yourself and make you question reality and it makes you feel like you’re going crazy.”

Travis were first formed at the Glasgow School of Art in the 1990s and are best known for their much-loved records The Man Who, The Invisible Band, and The Boy With No Name.
