NEW billboards promoting Scottish independence have appeared across Glasgow ahead of a march and rally in the city this weekend.

Believe in Scotland revealed the billboards on Wednesday, with four put up near and around the route of this Saturday's march and rally.

The march and rally will include speakers like First Minister Humza Yousaf and Green MSP Ross Greer.

The rally will be hosted by author, broadcaster and model Eunice Olumide and Trad Awards Scots Singer of the Year 2023 Iona Fyfe. This will be followed by a mass campaign day of leafleting in the south side of Glasgow on Sunday.

Posting pictures of two billboards on social media, the group said: "We have rolled these out in Glasgow this week in line with our big indy weekend in the city. We will be rolling out more across Scotland in line with our other events during the year!

"We polled indy supporters at the start of the year and you told us that you want us to do more billboards. So we booked a couple weeks of drive-time electronic billboards. Here is just one of the many we have running across Scotland. #BelieveinScotland - We campaign."

The National:

In polling, BiS asked supporters which campaigning activities should be prioritised in 2024.

From 4466 answers, billboards topped the list, ahead of national days of actions and marches.

The group previously said it had been "holding back on this given the expense" but had made the decision to launch the campaign following the polling to coincide with the march for maximum impact.

The group also committed to another campaign of billboards ahead of its Edinburgh march and rally later in 2024.
